Set in an acre of grounds, the mill race runs around the edge of the extensive gardens and flows over a small waterfall into the mill pond before winding its way out to sea.
Renovated to a very high standard throughout, great care has been taken to retain as many of the original features as possible; exposed beams, open vaulted ceilings and thick granite walls all add to its charm and character. Upstairs has lovely old mellow pine flooring, whilst downstairs has flagstone flooring which keep the rooms cosy thanks to the efficient under floor heating system.
The accommodation is non smoking. We do accept up to 2 well behaved dogs.
Note: Due to the outdoor steps to the living area and wooden stairs down to the bedrooms and bathrooms, the accommodation is not suitable for disabled and not suitable for wheelchairs.
The Mill has been refurbished with the highest of green credentials: Under floor heating, using an innovative ground source heat pump, which harnesses the heat energy from the stream running past the mill; solar panels which heat the hot water; and the latest in energy-efficient LED lighting technology.
